Welcome Lunch Bunchers!!

Lunch Bunch is a special after-school program, offered to our Mount Olive Pre-School students, Monday through Thursday, from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm. This program is specifically designed for outdoor recreation Therefore, on rainy days Lunch Bunch will not be held.  A poster will be on the gate-notifying parents of inclement weather.  After three hours of exercising their minds, we invite them to come and exercise their bodies in an atmosphere of fun, food, and friends. Lunch Bunch is more than a long recess, it is leisure time for enjoying the great outdoors, exploring the fine art of peer socialization and friendship, and extended quality time with Lunch Bunch teachers who facilitate their experience. Every month our activities include:

1. Activities, games and equipment that will incorporate gross/motor skills with non-competitive cooperation.
2. Music, Music, Music! We will be listening to an awesome array of old and new songs and tunes. We have a kaleidoscope of music; everything from Burl Ives folk songs to 50's blast from the past dance tunes. The children will switch from beautiful oldies to foot stomping dance tunes.
3. "Otter Pops! we do Otter Pops every day.

Lunch Bunch is available to all four and five-year-old classes from the first day of school thru May.
Lunch Bunch is available to all three-year-old classes from October thru May.
 

Regarding Sign-ups: Sign-up are held monthly in the office.
  Reservations for Lunch Bunch take place the last Monday and Tuesday of every month. You may sign-up for only ONE DAY per week due to the popularity of the program and the large number of students eligible. On the following Monday and Tuesday you may sign-up for an additional day per week if there is space available. Our goal is for every student to enjoy at least one day per week.

Lunch Bunch Guidelines:

1. Children go directly from class to playground.
2. You must have a reservation before you send your child to Lunch Bunch.
3. Tickets are purchased in the office in advance. The cost is eight dollars a ticket.
4. If your child is absent on a day you have a reservation, please notify the office prior to 9:00 a.m. that day.
5. Place child's Lunch Bunch ticket in their lunch box.
6. You must sign your child out before picking them up from the playground, in their classroom, on their teachers "sign-out sheet".
7. Please pick up your child at 1:30 p.m. outside the playground gate. Due to insurance liability, and your child's safety, we will dismiss them one at a time to parents or authorized persons.
8. Children picked up late will be assessed a fee of $10.00 for every 15 minutes.
