Children in our 3, 4, and 5-year-old classes attend a school-wide Chapel Time each week. This time is spent discussing stories and lessons from the Bible, singing Bible songs and learning that God hears all our prayers. Mt. Olive Lutheran Preschool believes, however, that a child's spiritual development should not only be confined to the daily classroom prayer or whole-school worship services, but also reinforced throughout the day.  The love and grace of God is modeled and integrated each day through the unconditional love and support children receive from our staff. In addition, our preschool provides the opportunity for children and their families to participate in mission projects intended to help fill the needs of others. In the past this has included collecting “Love Boxes” for distribution to families in need by North County Interfaith Services; a penny drive for “Mites for Missions”, a program sponsored by the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) helping to fund various mission projects worldwide; and “Gently Hugged”, a nonprofit organization that collects and distributes very gently used or new baby clothes and blankets to babies in need.
