Mt. Olive is a growing congregation of the Lutheran Church- Missouri Synod in the heart of San Diego's booming north county. We are a Christian family called together in faith through the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. Because of Christ's Great Commission, we are committed to share the faith with everyone. We are composed of young and old, single and married, life long Christians and those new in Jesus Christ.

Following service, we join for coffee and fellowship on the beautiful grounds of the church. Fellowship is an important aspect of our ministry at Mt. Olive, as it affords the opportunity to get to know each other personally in an informal setting. Our Sunday School and Adult Bible Classes give us all a chance to learn more about Scripture and strengthen our faith for further service in His Kingdom. We're thrilled with the dedicated Christian teachers that lead the classes for our youth. Our Adult Bible Study explores modern issues of concern in our community, nation, and world and seeks to find a Christian perspective on them through study of the scriptures.

Mission Statement:

The primary purpose of the church is to proclaim the love of God in Christ Jesus and to help others experience that love now and forever .Therefore, simply stated, God's mission for us is to become one in our love for one another so that we can witness effectively about god's love in Christ Jesus. We will accomplish this mission by teaching people to grow in God's grace as we build Christian community through a Bible-based Word and Sacrament ministry emphasizing worship, prayer, Christian education and Gospel outreach!
