Parental Involvement
Parental participation can take many forms and we hope that all parents will find meaningful ways to participate in their child’s school experience, however, there is no requirement for parental participation at Mt. Olive.
Some ways in which parents may chose to participate include:
Children, with the help of their parents will be encouraged to participate in the Christmas program, and sing during the Sunday Church service within the school year. Our singing recitals will be in Mar./April /May at our Church Service.
Parents will also be responsible for staying informed of school’s day-to-day activities as listed in the classroom monthly calendar and/or newsletter. A School Newsletter and Calendar will also be posted monthly on our website www.mtolivepereschool.net .
Parents are responsible for checking their child’s cubby daily.
(A cubby is your child’s own personal storage box.)
Close-toed shoes, such as tennis shoes, should be worn.
Flip-flops and sandals are unsafe for little toes.
A change of clothes, bagged and marked with name is required to keep in your child’s cubby in case of an accident.
Emergency Preparedness Kit is required for each student that
attends Mt. Olive. This is in case of earthquake or other natural
disaster. A list for your kit is enclosed in your enrollment
packet.
Parents will be responsible for obtaining their monthly calendar
of events.
It is mandatory that a written note be brought when there is a
change in transportation.
Persons authorized to drop-off or pick-up your child must be listed in your child’s file.
